Sibra Waseem is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore. She graduated in 2025 with a degree in Strategic Studies from National Defence University, Islamabad. Her expertise lies in international relations, security dynamics, and policy analysis.
Waseem has gained extensive experience through internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Human Rights, and the Senate Secretariat, where she contributed to policy briefs, legislative reviews, and diplomatic reports on human rights, strategic affairs, and governance. She has authored a research paper and multiple opinion articles on global security, foreign policy, and geopolitical shifts, which have been published on renowned platforms such as Modern Diplomacy, Daily Times, and the Islamabad Policy Research Institute.
She holds certifications in leadership, communication, language, and interpersonal skills, along with professional training from international institutions, including Griffith University, the University of Leeds, and Deakin University. Additionally, she has pursued strategic studies courses under the Stimson Initiative.
Her achievements include winning the CISS Strategic Knowledge Competition (2024) and securing runner-up positions at the inter-regional level in the DAWN in Education National Spelling Bee (2012 & 2013). She has actively engaged in NGO initiatives, digital journalism training, and advocacy programs, showcasing a strong commitment to policy development, research, and international affairs.
