Bilal Ghazanfar

Associate Senior Researcher

Dr Bilal Ghazanfar, Editor at CASS Lahore, holds a PhD in IR from Punjab University and an MPhil from NDU. He has taught at UCP and Punjab University. His work focuses on security in South Asia, human security, and emerging technologies.

Dr Bilal Ghazanfar is an Editor at CASS Lahore, Pakistan. Before joining CASS, Dr Bilal worked as a Research Associate and Adjunct Faculty at the University of the Punjab. He also served as a Lecturer at the University of Central Punjab (2021–2022) and as a Research Fellow at the Lahore Centre for Peace Research (LCPR) from 2018 to 2020.

He holds a doctorate degree in International Relations from the University of the Punjab and an MPhil degree in International Relations from the National Defence University, Islamabad. His research areas include, but are not limited to, traditional and non-traditional security threats in South Asia, human security, and emerging technologies. He has been involved in Track II diplomatic initiatives.

Dr Ghazanfar is a certified NATO trainer and has delivered lectures at the NATO Centre of Excellence in Ankara. With peer-reviewed publications, he contributes regularly to national dailies and magazines and is a frequent speaker at national and international seminars, conferences, and television programmes.
